The Summer Newsletter is out!

I hope by now that you will have received your copy of the Parish’s Summer Newsletter. There is also a copy of it on this website.

The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted that the picture on the front page has the wrong caption.

Our footpaths expert,  Parish Councillor Shirley Fay, has pointed out that the photo is not Minching Lane , which goes due west from Bepton Road. Shirley has said: ” About a third of the way along, Minching Lane  meets footpaths 900 & 902,  but where it later takes a sharp right it ceases to be Minching Lane and becomes solely Bridleway 3359 (prior to that point, Minching Lane is also known as 3359). The photo in the newsletter shows this bridleway going  due NW, where it is beautifully maintained by Mr Terpstra . Having crossed the field it joins Bridleway 3358 which will take you to Minsted (right) or Elsted (left).

The gallery now shows two photos of Minching Lane, which is now passable, having recently been cleared by the County Council.

If you come across any blocked footpaths etc, whether by being overgrown or for other reasons, please let Shirley or one of the other Councillors know.  Incidentally, West Sussex County Council have an excellent interactive Public Rights of Way Map on their website. There is a link here
