The long awaited draft Minerals Plan is going to the SDNPA Planning Committee on 10th March 2016. The draft, prepared by officers, recommends ” … no allocation of extensions to existing sites, or new sites, within the South Downs National Park …”. If approved by the Planning Committee, the draft Plan would be published for informal public consultation for eight weeks in April/May. If the Plan passes all its stages and is adopted as drafted, the site identified at Severals would not be developed.
